Terms

The agreement between you and Gaja, written to be read.

Last updated 2026-08-18.

This page is not final. Gaja is not yet incorporated, so the governing law is still to be settled and is marked below where it belongs. Everything else describes how Gaja actually works today, and is meant to be relied on. If you are deciding whether to trust Gaja with health or financial data, ask us first — hello@gaja.life.

Who this is between

These terms are between you and Gaja, the operator of Gaja. Using Gaja means you accept them. If you do not, do not connect anything.

What Gaja is, and what it is not

Gaja reads data from services you connect — your ring, your bank — and shows it back to you in one place, along with what you choose to write down.

It is not medical advice, and not a medical device.Readiness, sleep and heart-rate figures are your device's measurements, shown as your device reported them. They are not a diagnosis, they are not monitoring, and nothing here should be used to decide whether to seek care. Talk to a clinician.

It is not financial advice. Balances, spending and net worth are a view of your accounts, not a recommendation, and not a substitute for an accountant or an adviser.

It is early. Features are incomplete, some are named on the site as coming, and things will change. Where a figure cannot be shown truthfully, Gaja shows nothing rather than a guess — including when that looks like an empty screen.

Your account

You need to be 18 or older to hold an account. Sign-in is by a link sent to your email address, so keep that mailbox secure — anyone who can read it can reach your account.

A household account may include another adult and children. If you add other people, you are responsible for having their agreement to do so, and for a child's data you are confirming you are their guardian.

Your data stays yours

You own what you connect and what you write. You grant Gaja only the permission needed to fetch it, store it, and show it to you — nothing broader, and nothing that survives you disconnecting.

How that data is handled is set out in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

The services you connect

Oura and Plaid are independent services with their own terms and privacy policies, and those govern their side. Gaja reads what you authorise and no more; if a provider changes its API, revokes access, or reports something incorrectly, that flows through to what you see here.

Bank credentials are entered with Plaid and never reach Gaja.

If and when there is an assistant

There is no AI assistant yet. When one ships, these constraints apply and this page will be updated before it processes anything of yours: nothing you connect or write is used to train any model; answers cite the rows they came from; anything you mark private is not retrieved; and no action against an outside system happens without you confirming it.

An assistant's answers are generated. They can be wrong, and they are not advice of any kind.

What you agree not to do

  • Connect accounts that are not yours, or that you are not authorised to connect.
  • Attempt to reach another household's data, or probe for a way to.
  • Scrape, resell or redistribute the service.
  • Interfere with its operation, or with anyone else's use of it.
  • Reverse engineer or decompile it, except where the law says you may.
  • Drive it with bots or automated tooling without our agreement.

Finding a security flaw is not on that list. If you find one, email hello@gaja.life and you will get a real reply.

Feedback

Gaja has a feedback button, and using it is voluntary. If you send us an idea or a bug report, we may act on it and build it without owing you anything for it. That is the only reason this clause exists — we are not claiming ownership of anything else you write in the product.

What it costs

Nothing today. There is no billing, and no payment details are collected. If that changes you will be told the price before it applies to you, and nothing will start charging silently.

Stopping

Disconnect a source and the data it fed is deleted. Ask us to close the account and everything goes — see the privacy policy for how that works today.

We may suspend an account that is being used to attack the service or someone else's data. Otherwise we will not cut you off without telling you why.

When an account ends, your right to use Gaja ends with it. The sections that are meant to outlast it do: the limits on liability, the disclaimers, and anything the law requires us to keep. If you want a copy of your data, ask before you close the account — or promptly afterwards, while it still exists.

What we do not promise

Gaja is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, that a provider will keep working, or that everything shown will be complete — a source can be behind, and where Gaja knows data is stale it labels it rather than passing it off as current.

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim relating to Gaja is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited, including for death, personal injury, or fraud.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [to be confirmed]. We would much rather sort a problem out by email first — start at hello@gaja.life.

The rest of it

These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about Gaja. If a court finds one part unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we do not enforce something immediately, we have not given up the right to. You cannot transfer this agreement to someone else without us agreeing; we may transfer it if the business does.

Changes

If these terms change materially, account holders are emailed. The date at the top is the last substantive revision, and continuing to use Gaja after a change means accepting it.

Questions about any of this go to hello@gaja.life. A person reads it.
